Baby Isaac

November 30th, 2009

Back in September I mentioned my nephew Isaac was born only 11 days after my Noah. He had a very rough first week in the NICU, but thankfully was able to recover. I just realized I never shared my photos of him at one week old. I know I’m biased, but he is one of [...]

This is my favorite.  Notice his poor little heal where he was poked and prodded all week long.  thousand oaksnewbornmoorpark

I couldn’t resist getting my baby in there with him. I can’t wait to show this to him when they are 10 year old boys and tearing up the house.baby ventura

Love

November 27th, 2009

This is Tim and Noah from way back in September. It is one of my favorites of them together. Noah has gotten so much bigger since then. I’m already missing his little newborn scrunchy look.

Giving Is Awesome

November 26th, 2009

This year I’ve been blessed in so many ways. Unfortunately not everyone has had such a wonderful year.  You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who [...]

givingisawesome900x100 This year I’ve been blessed in so many ways. Unfortunately not everyone has had such a wonderful year.  You know someone. You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography — $1000 worth, to be exact.  They will receive a free custom photography session, all of the digital files, and an extra gift.  It’s in your power to give them the artwork they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $100.00 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must reside in Los Angeles or Ventura County. Tell me who you know, what they’re experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story : julie@juliecampbellphotography.com by December 20th.

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get nominating! I can’t wait to read all of your entries!  Please let your friends know anyway you can so they can nominate someone too.

Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love,

Julie

Happy Thanksgiving

I can’t tell you how thankful I am for my life. I feel incredibly blessed with 4 happy, healthy children, and the most wonderful husband imaginable. Not only that, but I have my dream job. I get to create what I hope is visual representation of a family’s love. I’ve been so fortunate to get [...]

I get to create what I hope is visual representation of a family’s love. I’ve been so fortunate to get to know amazing people through my work. It has been truly a dream come true for me. I’m looking forward to spending this Thanksgiving with those I love the most in this world. I hope you get to do the same.

Here is baby Oliver. As you can see he is just perfect.

The Gietzens

November 18th, 2009

I’ve been fortunate enough to have two sessions with the Gietzen girls. For our third session together we added their brothers and parents. This beautiful family kept me on my toes as we explored Paramount Ranch in Agoura.  These 4 kids are pretty lucky to have the sweetest mom ever.  It was so fun to [...]

T, C, and J

Juliet was the sweetest dog. I was wandering through the trees at the park with T & C with Juliet not too far behind us. She stayed right with us, didn’t bark at other dogs, and even sat still for me to take her photo. Every time she heard the shutter she squinted her eyes like below. I like to think it’s her saying cheese on the inside. I wish I had a dog just like her.

I had such a great time with these two adorable children. My favorite moment was when C grabbed my hand and said, “This is a lot of fun taking pictures with you.” The girl knows how to butter me up that’s for sure.

Baby Kate is one lucky girl. She was born into a family with a mom and dad that absolutely adore their little girl. The love that I saw for this little girl reminded me of those first days and moths when I had my first child. I was exhausted and overwhelmed with being a mother, but I also thought she was the most beautiful thing that ever graced the planet earth. I thought my heart would explode with how much I loved that little girl who kept me up all day and all night. Being around Kate’s parents reminded me of that feeling, and how much my children have changed my life. I just love the pictures from their session. They make me all kinds of happy inside.

The Graves

November 15th, 2009

What better way to spend an evening than playing with your family? The Graves ran, blew bubbles, played with leaves, and even read books, and I got some of my favorite photos for a family session ever.

Two Months and Counting

Last Wednesday Tim came home from work, and I announced that our Noah was 2 months old that day.  His response was, “So you took pictures of him right?”  After 12 years of marriage my husband gets me.  Of course I took his picture.  I’ve always taken pictures of my kids almost every day, but especially on  big days, like 2 month old birthdays.  Sure it’s not that big of a deal to most people, but I love to compare what they look like each month of their first year.  It’s amazing how much they change and grow.  Noah has noticably plumped up and out.  I love his cute little baby fat rolls. If only all that chub could come off of me as it goes onto him.  My friend Audrey says, “If fat rolls and cellulite was as cute on adults as on babies I would be a babe.”  Now Audrey is cute and small so I don’t know what she’s talking about, but me, well let’s just say I would be the world’s most sought after super model.
