I think 5 is such a magical age. Of course as a former Kindergarten teacher I’m a little biased, but I just love how sweet, kind, curious, and chatty five year olds are. They are just emerging from total dependence on mom, and yet they are still so eager to please the adults in their lives. They tell the funniest stories that make me laugh and laugh. You should have heard the things my students used to tell me about their parents. Of course I only believed half of it.

This little cutie melts my heart.  She appears shy and cautious, but really she’s wild and crazy and tons of fun.

I love it when I’m out and about, and people tell me they read my blog.  Thank you so much all you blog readers out there who take time out of your day to visit. Of course those of you who leave a kind word really make my day.  Most of the people who talk to me about my blog comment on my monthly updates about little Noah. It’s amazing to see how much he has changed in the last 8 months. To think he started out as a little sleepy guy, and is now he’s up all day, and sometimes when those new teeth come in, all night.  He started out with really dark hair that had a hint of auburn, and now it is a gorgeous strawberry blond color.  He’s such a happy little guy, always ready with a smile and a giggle. He’s slowly starting to move around more, but he’s mostly happy to just sit and play. It makes my life much easier, especially when he’s modeling for some of my commercial work.

Playing with the Sun

May 18th, 2010

What do we do for fun? We find remote fields of grass at sunset, and play around with light.  What… you don’t do that? These lovely photos were taken by my Tim, and I love them.

This is what my life looks like 3 days a week.  My sweet little guy is a Yankee, and I couldn’t be more proud.

It’s hard not to be smitten by this handsome  little guy. Look at all that hair, and the way his lips fold up as he sleeps.

My Favorite Number

May 3rd, 2010

Six is my favorite number. If I add myself to these 5 we make 6. I love that number because to me it feels complete, whole, and just perfect. Together we are making our way through this crazy world. Who knows what lies ahead for each one of us, but I have high hopes for [...]

Six is my favorite number. If I add myself to these 5 we make 6. I love that number because to me it feels complete, whole, and just perfect. Together we are making our way through this crazy world. Who knows what lies ahead for each one of us, but I have high hopes for amazing adventures, great accomplishments, and hopefully only a few struggles.
