I think we would all agree that Arline is simply stunning. Any day now I’ll get the call that she’s had the baby, and I can’t wait to meet their new little miracle.

Welcome! I’m Julie, and I have the best job on the planet. I love my clients, and I can’t help but share pretty pictures from my sessions with them. I’m also fairly obsessed with photographing my own 4 little ones, and my wonderful husband so you will most likely see them on here too.
Be sure to check out the categories above to find exactly what you’re interested in, and click on “expand” to see the entire post. After that cruise on over to the contact section to let me know what you think or schedule a session. I can’t wait to hear from you.

WyattJuly 19th, 2011Wyatt has really nice newborn hair, and those squishy lips and chin that make me smile. He was a dream to photograph. I couldn’t ask for more. |

PhiladelphiaJuly 13th, 2011We couldn’t have asked for better weather on our day in Philadelphia. It was just gorgeous out as we learned about those early days in our nation’s history. We couldn’t have asked for better weather on our day in Philadelphia. It was just gorgeous out as we learned about those early days in our nation’s history. While I love looking back at the photos of our day in Philly, I still find that my favorite photos (at the bottom) have nothing to do with where we are, and everything to do with who we are.

Late last month we took our 4 kids to Pennsylvania to see my brother and his family. We hadn’t seen them in over 2 years, and we were anxious to spend some time with them again. We loved it there. Everything was so green, and just plain beautiful. I loved the slow, relaxed pace of the town. The kids learned so much about the Amish, the Civil War, and the early colonial days. It was wonderful to see so much history everywhere we turned. We were able to visit Gettysburg, Hershey, Intercourse, Strasburg, Philadelphia, and then we took a 2 day trip to Washington D.C.

Noah was enchanted by a real steam engine.

Gettysburg was nothing like I thought it would be. I pictured a big wide open field where the battle took place. Of course it was much larger, more beautiful, and much more difficult for the soldiers than I ever imagined. We all left with a profound sense of gratitude and respect.

CharlesJuly 7th, 2011Little Charles is a special baby. His parents went through a lot to welcome their twin boys into this world. Unfortunately Joseph, Charles’ brother, was only able to be with them for two hours before he passed away. They call Charles their miracle baby. He’s strong, healthy, and so very handsome. When his mom talks [...] |

When his mom talks about him her whole face lights up even more than most new moms. He is a precious little gift from above, and I was honored to take some photos of him.

The Hands of a NewbornJuly 5th, 2011 |
I’ve been on vacation for the past week and a half. I have to say being away from the computer has been a blessing to my soul. It was just what I needed. Now I am back and so excited about the summer sessions I have lined up. I’ve been blessed with lots and lots of newborn sessions lately, and this one is a very special one.
One of my favorite parts of the newborn session is the detail shots. It’s almost impossible to hold a newborn and not look over their tiny little bodies and admire everything about them. Their little toes, their squishy noses, perfect fuzzy ears, skinny legs, and flaky skinned hands. Newborn hands hold the possibilities of a lifetime. They are so soft and delicate, and at the same time incredibly strong as they grip your finger in theirs. Yes, newborns are magical, and I can’t get enough of them.
