This adorable family was referred to me by a sweet client who earns lots of credits by giving out my information to her friends (make sure you ask about my client referral program). I was able to hang out with them one morning in their beautiful yard. My favorite sessions are the ones when the parents and kids aren’t afraid to laugh and play in front of the camera. The kids love it and their smiles light up all of the photos. Kids are so much fun just being themselves. They don’t need fancy props, expensive outfits, or elaborately styled sets for a successful photo session. I always love to see their personality, not an act for the camera. It may take some time to warm up to me and my camera, but it’s always worth it.
The BeachFebruary 21st, 2012I’m pretty sure this session was the quickest one I’ve ever done. We squeezed it in between Dad’s business meetings, but we got some cute ones. I love the pink and navy color scheme. What gorgeous girls they have and one on the way. Yay! Her eyes are to die for. |

Today is a gorgeous, perfect, awe inspiring day. It’s the kind of day that makes me long for the freedom and warmth of long summer days. It reminded me of our trip to Pismo Beach last summer where the kids ran, played, splashed, and covered themselves in wet muddy sand. It was glorious.
These first 2 are probably among my most favorite photos from all of last year. They make me want to be a kid again hanging out with my best friend on the beach.
My oldest and youngest – so alike it’s scary.
Boys and mud. That’s all they need for hours of fun.
