Whenever I look at these pictures I feel profound gratitude. Last summer Hailey contacted me about getting family portraits when she was to visit from Illinois. She told me she and her husband worked together in their photography business just like Tim and I. She was also a former teacher, and had 4 children just like me. I took  a look at her site and honestly could not believe that she chose me out of the thousands of photographers in Southern California. I am still honored.

I cannot say enough good things about this family. Mom and Dad are amazing, and their children are incredibly sweet, extremely polite, happy, cheerful, smart, and beautiful. In short they are a photographer’s dream.

I’ve known this family for a few years. When they asked me to take their family portraits I was excited because I knew the session would be so fun. They are the happiest people I know, and you all know being around genuinely happy people makes you happy too no matter what.

This next one is one of my favorites of this whole year!

This first photo is now a 36×24″ enlargement in the Strang home. I hope it makes them happy to see their beautiful family as they were this summer every day. After they booked the session we learned they used to live on the same street we live now, just a couple of houses down from us. Since then I’ve seen Vera on walks with their dog while we walk ours. It’s a small world, and I love that my clients become more than clients, but also friends.
