Favorites of 2011

2011 was a great year for Julie Campbell Photography. I met so many new people, and saw familiar faces from past years. In the past week or so I went through all of my sessions from 2011. I pulled out my favorites to update my website with. I thought about each and every client, the funny things that happened at their session, the changes in their lives, the reasons they wanted portraits this year, and how honored I feel to be a small part of their lives.

I wish I could give them all large gifts of my gratitude, but it’s just not possible. I see these photos and think how nice it would be to gift at least one or two of them with an enlargement. So here’s my idea. I want YOU to vote and let me know which one you think I should give to one of my clients. Which one is your favorite? It doesn’t matter why it’s your favorite. It could be you like the facial expressions, mood of the photo, the lighting, or the choice of clothing.

You can vote by commenting on this post only between now and January 31st at 8:00 pm Pacific Time. Be sure to mention the photo number above your choice in your comment. Please do NOT vote more than once. IP addresses will be tracked, so please keep the voting clean.

PRIZES

1. The photo with the most votes will be gifted to the client as a 16×20″ enlargement mounted on styrene and ready for framing.

2. The photo with the second highest number of votes will be gifted as an 11×14″ enlargement mounted on styrene.

3. The photo with the 3rd highest votes will be gifted as an 8×10″ gift print.

Awaiting Abigail

Way back in October I met with Brittney and her family for a maternity session. The three of them were so sweet and cuddly just like I love my clients to be. Their beautiful smiles and the gorgeous light fills me with happiness. Stay tuned for little Abigail’s newborn photos. She is gorgeous!

Waiting for Henry

I got an email from Christina today announcing that baby Henry has arrived healthy and safe. Even through the email I could feel her excitement. I can’t wait to go see little Henry next week. In honor of his birth I am posting the maternity session I did with his family. It was a gorgeous night at the beach with a gorgeous family.

These two kids are nothing but happiness and joy in small little packages. I had the best time with them at the Sherwood Country Club in Westlake Village. I’m sure their little brother (whose newborn session is here) will be just as charming.

I think we would all agree that Arline is simply stunning. Any day now I’ll get the call that she’s had the baby, and I can’t wait to meet their new little miracle.

It was the foggiest morning I’ve ever seen here in Southern California. As I was driving along the freeway on my way to our session I was praying for light, any kind of light. The fog was so thick cars were going 30 miles and hour. I drove down the street to my final destination and the sun ever so slightly started peaking over the hills. I did a happy dance alone in my car. It was cold, really really cold, but Tara was determined. She was amazing. Their newborn baby boy arrived safe and healthy. I’ll be sharing those very soon.

One gorgeous mommy of 2 to be and the men in her life on a warm February evening make for one fantastic photo session. I can’t wait to meet the newest addition coming next month.

The little guy showed me his golf and baseball skills. He’s pretty good I have to say. Look how he catches the ball.

He wanted to be beside her again. I love this one…

Baby’s First Year

I’ve had a lot of newborns this month, and I wanted to share my Baby’s First Year plan. I know I’m biased, but I think it’s the perfect way to document your baby’s first year. At the end of the year when you receive your canvas and album containing all 4 sessions you will be so glad you captured your priceless memories. Be sure to tell all your expecting friends and receive print credits for a session of your own.

This little family has welcomed their new little one into the world by now, but here they are back in November. Tim and I had a blast watching them play together. Their little girl… well, she is stunning as you can see. She has the best smile, and she and her parents have the sweetest relationship. I love every picture from their session, so it was hard to choose which ones to share.
