You may remember this cute family from their maternity session over the summer. Their little bundle of joy arrived safe and sound. When I first saw him he took my breath away. Isn’t he the sweetest, most perfect little baby boy? His older sister and I were able to spend lots of time together while little Shane filled his tummy. She stole my heart. They purchased the Baby Plan, so I get to see them in 6 months when Shane is sitting up. I can’t wait!

Every baby has their own unique personality. This little guy, or should I say big guy (over 9 pounds) wasn’t one for sleeping. He would look up at me as I positioned him with a look that made me think his soul was much much older than the 5 days he had been on this earth. I can’t get over his beautiful blue eyes, and his perfectly round head.
Eli’s brother was the very first newborn I photographed, and I’ve been back to do family shots, and his sister’s 8 year old photos as well. I’m so happy for them to welcome this sweet little one into their family. Congratulations!

Little Charles is a special baby. His parents went through a lot to welcome their twin boys into this world. Unfortunately Joseph, Charles’ brother, was only able to be with them for two hours before he passed away. They call Charles their miracle baby. He’s strong, healthy, and so very handsome. When his mom talks about him her whole face lights up even more than most new moms. He is a precious little gift from above, and I was honored to take some photos of him.

I’ve been on vacation for the past week and a half. I have to say being away from the computer has been a blessing to my soul. It was just what I needed. Now I am back and so excited about the summer sessions I have lined up. I’ve been blessed with lots and lots of newborn sessions lately, and this one is a very special one.
One of my favorite parts of the newborn session is the detail shots. It’s almost impossible to hold a newborn and not look over their tiny little bodies and admire everything about them. Their little toes, their squishy noses, perfect fuzzy ears, skinny legs, and flaky skinned hands. Newborn hands hold the possibilities of a lifetime. They are so soft and delicate, and at the same time incredibly strong as they grip your finger in theirs. Yes, newborns are magical, and I can’t get enough of them.

I am pleased to share another sweet little newborn with you today. He comes from two of the nicest parents I’ve met, and is very much loved. 
Sweet newborn smiles are the best.
Dad is a big basketball fan. I’ll let you guess what team is his favorite.
The Griswold’s told me the cutest story about how they found out the sex of their baby. They had their doctor secretly write on a piece of paper if their baby was a boy or girl at their ultrasound appointment. They went to Build a Bear where they gave the employees the note from the doctor with instructions to dress up the teddy bear on the left in either boy or girl clothing depending on what the note said. They had it wrapped up without them seeing it and took it home. At Thanksgiving they opened it up to for the big reveal. That must have been so exciting! I give them big points for creativity on that one. I don’t know how they were able to not look at the note, or open the bear ahead of time. I would have been dying to find out.
Congratulations again! He is one handsome little guy.
