Full Hands

When people hear that I have 4 children they usually say something like, “I don’t know how you do it,” or “Wow, you have your hands full.”  The truth is I find it’s easier to have a baby along with older children.  They are old enough to be independent, and young enough that it’s still cool to help Mommy.  My kids are super helpful to me.  They do things like get me diapers from upstairs, get their sister a drink of water when I can’t get up, and talk to the baby to keep him entertained while I’m busy fixing dinner.  So yes, my hands are full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.  Well, maybe I would have a full time housekeeper who specializes in laundry, but other than that things are good.

Emma is 9 and a huge help to me.  She decorated the little onesie that Noah is wearing in this picture with a little bear on the front, and this sweet message on the back.

My mother used to tell me it was easier to have several children than just one. She was right. Of course she should know she had 7.

I am glad that you are enjoying your precious son. Babies bring a special joy to a family.
