This little beauty has the most adorable dimples I have ever seen. She is simply stunning. Her newborn images have been on my banner above for months now. You can see more here. I can’t wait to see her when she’s a year old. Tim flies so fast doesn’t it?
This little guy is just perfect. He is incredibly handsome, and so sweet and cuddly. His big sister was one of my newborns a couple of years ago. I am always so honored to be called upon to capture these fleeting first days of a baby’s life.
It was dark, cloudy, and windy as I pulled out of my driveway to go to this session. Light raindrops started to sprinkle onto my windshield as I got to the highway. I drove and prayed for the rain to stop, for the wind to blow the clouds away, and for the sun to shine through. This family of 19 was visiting from out of state and this was our only opportunity to fit in this session. I must have done something right in my life because as I drove closer to the beach house they were staying at the sun came out, and it turned into a beautiful evening on the beach. It was a little crazy with so many kids (almost all of them boys!), but it was fun to see them play and have fun with their parents and grandparents. It reminds me once again that life is good, children are precious, and family is the most important thing in life.
I’ve seen these 2 every year for 4 years now. They are smart, funny, and have the most gorgeous eyes ever.

I was so honored to hear that this image won a NAPCP (National Association of Professional Children’s Photographers) Recognition of Merit in their 2011 International Image Competition. It was the first photography competition I have entered, and it feels really really good to get recognition. The NAPCP is not only a great place for photographers to continue their education and network with other children’s photographer, it is also a great resource for parents. Their blog has a lot of helpful advice when it comes to finding a photographer, preparing for your session, and other parenting ideas. Take a look here.
